Chinese New Year- World’s Largest Human Migration

3.2 million passenger trips are estimate to take place over the next month (Jan-Feb) through out China as many in China return to their home for Chinese New Year. It is the world’s largest human migration and it happens every year. I wouldn’t want to be on those buses, planes, or trains. They are going to be packed! Train ticket sales recently went online which has come with controversy for many of the migrant workers who don’t know how to use a computer or even own one if they did know how to use one causing trouble for them as they want to get home for the holiday. For many, it is the only time of year they go home to see their family. Construction work shuts down for the next month and other business services are limited during this time. This is what I have heard.  I have yet to experience Chinese New Year, which I hear is something l see. I have heard it compared to something of Armageddon with all the fireworks that go off. One of the upcoming Chinese New Year we should plan to stay in town to take it all in. This year we have time traveled back to the US.

This is my fourth Chinese New Year, and I have decided, after last year, not to travel this year. It is mayhem 🙂
