The Shanghai Climb Up Lupu Bridge

The Lupu Bridge in Shanghai that connects Puxi to Pudong you can climb up to take in the city. It is called the Shanghai Climb. It will set you back  80 RMB (Approx. $13 US) which is a little steep for what it all is. However you do get to ride in a “high speed” transparent glass elevator to the 13th floor. They call it “high speed” it seems regular speed to me. From the 13th floor you climb up 300 stairs to the observation platform (which is the size of a basketball field, again the marketing material words). At the top you take in the city and the Huangpu River. It provides a good view of the 2010 Expo site, with many of the buildings still there. All that space.

The guard so you don’t do anything stupid. I think he may be sleeping. Hard to say with his face shield and all

Thank you for sharing your experiences this year. The pictures are very good. Your dad told me about the web site.

Hi Donna. Great to hear from you and glad Dad gave you the web site. I think that is the closest I will get him to experience China so I try my best to keep it updated. Although, I did hear the other day from Dad that I haven’t posted in a while.. 🙂
